2015 Off to a Pretty Good Start

I have been missing in action on my blog. To start the new year off I got bronchitis and then after about two weeks barely keeping up with household chores I started working in the Quilt Studio.

I am very busy with quite a number of projects but none of them are to completion so I hesitate to post on my blog. But then I remembered why I blog.....to track my progress in the Quilt Studio and some months things are very slow.

So I will update now.

I have completed clue #3 for the Bonnie Hunter Grand Illusion mystery quilt.

I am ready to start piecing clue #4 together now.

This is the tumbler quilt I have had on my HQ for awhile but I have started the quilting on it.

This is my design wall. The Quilt of Valor blocks I had on it have been taken down to start piecing the top together. More on that later.

The top row are the spool blocks from Jenny Doan. I wanted to make these but not for a full size quilt. These will be a wall hanging in my Quilt Studio. This is ready to quilt.

This is my grand daughter Liliya's embroidery work.  I have framed it in orange and will quilt it soon.

This is a LeMoyne star. I wanted to try it out to see how well I did with Y-seams. This turned out OK but I do not want to make a full size quilt with this block. It will be a wall hanging in my Quilt Studio. It is from my Craftsy class with Laura Nownes.

These are two orphan blocks that I am going to quilt for my grand daughters, Aurora and Sophia, to make pillows out of them. I will be quilting these soon also.

I have over 40 blue star blocks made for my Quilts of Valor.

I am making red and white 4-patches to put with some of the blue star blocks. I will show them later on when I have some of them made.

I have almost 20 of these stars completed for the charity quilts I have planned.

And I have started a new quilt with a jelly roll I purchased a while back. I am using Jenny Doan's tutorial on Craftsy for Strip Stars. I think it is going to be a bit wild for me though.

This is what I have been doing. I will Keep on Scrappin!
