What is Happening in the Quilt Studio

I have several projects going on in the Quilt Studio.

This is my design wall at the moment. These are leftovers from the previous quilt I just finished. I will be making another one of these quilts and so these blocks will be used soon.

This is my projects I will be taking to AZ on Sunday. My husband has a conference in Phoenix until next Thursday so I like to take projects to work on while he is in lectures. I have 3 projects in this stack. One of which is the next Herringbone quilt that I have leftovers  blocks in the photo above.

My sewing machines look a little empty at the moment but the teal fabric trailing onto the floor is the binding for the next quilt.

This is the next quilt I have on the HQ. It is Bonnie Hunter's last mystery quilt. I hope to have it all done in a couple of weeks.

This is all for now. I will Keep on Scrappin!

A Completion for 2015

This is my next completion for 2015.

This quilt is another Jenny Doan quilt. It is called the Herringbone. I have completed this quilt!

Again the lighting is terrible outside because the skies are very cloudy.  We are getting rain right now as I took these pictures.  Just a sprinkle though.

This is the 4th quilt completed in this project I have going. I quilted it with the Baptist Fan Groovy Board I have for my HQ. I used a very khaki green thread from Superior Threads. This quilt is made almost entirely from recycled shirts. One from Grandpa Great and many from Umpa.

This quilt is already labeled and I just put it in the washing machine for its final stage of the process.

Yeah! Another quilt is done!

An Amazing Completion for 2015

I have another amazing completion for this year.

Today has been cloudy and overcast so the colors are not showing the full bold colors.

This quilt is the third quilt in the 21 quilt project. I used a white flat sheet for the backing.

This is another Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt company quilt.

 l

It is called the Colorado quilt block. I used a white Superior Thread and quilted it with Fays Feathers. I have completed all the labels for the 21 quilts and I have the label already on this quilt.

These are big blocks and the quilt goes together very quickly. It is a wonderful looking quilt.
I have the next quilt on the HQ and I have it half quilted.but I will not be able to do any more quilting on it until the end of next week because I am leaving for the deer hunt tomorrow morning.

Another Completion for 2015

I have another completion for this year.

This is number 2 quilt in my big quilting project. It is called Chevron and is by Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt company.

I used recycled shirts in the light rows and various others for the colored rows. The backing is a plaid flat sheet which I really like to use in these quilts.  Makes for the quilting to go very well and I don't have to piece it.  I used the Baptist Fan in the quilting and a varigated tan and cream thread from Superior Threads for the quilting.

I bound the quilt in various dark blue strips and over all it looks great.
I will keep on working on my big project. I have the next quilt top finished and have started the loading process. I should have something to show in a week or two.
