A Beautiful Quilt Completed

I am so happy to say that I have another completion of a beautiful quilt!

This is the lovely quilt that I completed last week.

I used white Superior thread and used the Whirlgig pantogram.

This is a quilt I started last June at the Quilt Walk.

It is full of flowers and will be for a girl. It is the 8th completion in the Big Project I am working on.

I almost have the next quilt top ready for quilting. Hopefully it will be on the HQ by Monday.
For now I will Keep on Scrappin!

A Completion-Quilt of Valor

I have completed the 5th Quilt of Valor in less than a year.

I actually finished this quilt last week but didn't have time to blog about it until now.
The panel in the center was given to me by a daughter in law. The rest of the quilt is modeled loosely after a Jenny Doan quilt.

I found some great flannel at Walmart at a very good price. I have since purchased enough to making backings for the next two Quilts of Valor I make.

I am in the process of designing the next Quilt of Valor which truly will be the last one I will be making for outside of the family.

For now I need to get some time in the Quilt Studio and the finish the borders on the next quilt to be loaded on the HQ.
I will Keep on Scrappin!

2nd completion for the Year and 7th Completion for the Big Project

I have another completion!

This is an amazing quilt I started in June at the Quilt Walk in Panquitch, UT. The center of the quilt is the original part of the pattern for the class. I added the inner border, pieced border and final black border to make the quilt larger. I really like how it turned out!

This is fresh snow and it is very dry. It is also overcast today and so the colors are not quite as bright as they are in reality.

The white cast on the quilt is the snow.

I quilted this with hot pink Superior thread and Whirly Gig pantogram. I bound it with various fabrics that are in the quilt. I like that scrappy look.
I have the next quilt off the HQ and will be working on hand stitching of the binding this weekend.
I have also been working on the borders for the next quilt.
So I will Keep on Scrappin!

First Completion for 2016

I have a completion!!!  Yeah!!! This is a Missouri Star Quilt company block. I did a Baptist fan in the quilting and used a variegated green Superior Thread.

This is the second time I have made this quilt but it is the first completion for the New Year.

This is the 6th quilt in the Big Project!

It is a fun block and I have used mostly recycled shirts from my husband and myself.

This brown and black block is from Great Grandpa Nielsen's shirt. This and the other quilts will be going to my grandsons so I will be sure to put in some of these special shirts as a memory thing.

I have another quilt completed and I am hand stitching the binding right now and will soon blog about it in the very near future.

I will Keep on Scrappin!

This quilt was completed the middle part of October.

This quilt was finished at the end of October.

This is the final completion for 2015 and the 5th quilt in the big project I have going.
This makes 20 completions for the year. Wow, I am so happy!
Without this blog and tracking my progress I don't think I would have remembered some of these completions.
Now on to more Scrapiness!

Finally Some Progress!

I have finally made some progress in the Quilt Studio! I don't have completions yet but I do have progress!

This is what I have on the design wall right now. I started this quilt last June while I was in Panquitch,UT at the Quilt Walk.

This is what I have on the HQ. I will have it off tomorrow morning and then I have another top all ready to load and quilt.

This quilt is very close to being ready to quilt and I am very happy about this one too. It is the Quilt of Valor that I decided at the last moment to start last September. This makes 5 Quilts of Valor in less than a years time. This will be next in line to quilt after the above mentioned one. I have the backing for this one. I  just need to piece it together. I always do flannel backing for the Quilts of Valor.

Well, this is all for now! I will Keep on Scrappin!
