Yay! A Completion!

I am so happy that I have been able to steal some time away to work on my many quilt projects.

This is a completion for the Big Project that I have going on.

It is called Garden Paths and I started it at The Quilt Walk in Panquitch, UT this last June.

The only fabric I bought was the background white fabric. Everything else is from my stash.

The backing was from just my green stash. This is the first time I have cut 10 1/2 inch squares to make a background. Green is my favorite color and it shows in my stash. I have an over abundance of green fabric.

This quilt is for a grand daughter. Most of the fabrics I choose were feminine, lots of flowers and girly colors.

I used the Whirly Gig panto with a varigated thread.  I am very pleased with the results

I have loaded the next quilt onto the HQ and will start the quilting on it tomorrow morning. I have also been working on the next quilt in line.

I will Keep on Scrappin!

A Completion!

I am so happy to say that I have a completion.

This is a Quilt of Valor.

This pattern came from Jenny Doan at Missouri Star. It is called the Friendship Star.

This quilt was completed a couple of weeks ago and delivered to a friend of my son.

Matt was a medic in the Navy assigned to the Marines. He certainly has earned the badge for courage.

Even though you can't see the embroidery in the background I put in many words that pertain to the Marines and the Navy.

I have also completed two tops for the Big Project and hope to have at least one of them quilted by the end of the month.
