Wow, Another Charity Quilt Finish

I am happy to say that I have another quilt finish.

This is a Jelly Roll Race quilt. I have never liked these quilts but......

I had 3 huge bins of 2 1/2 inch strips cut. They were very old fabrics and I wanted to get them used up. So therefore a Jelly Roll Race was decided upon. I picked pink, green and yellow strips.

One of the borders are strings I pieced a few years back and the 4 patches also were made a few years ago. I pieced the backing from 10" squares.

I quilted this quilt with the Baptist Fan on my HQ and used a dark yellow thread.
Since I put this top together a couple of months ago I have cut up more fabric and I now have even more 2 1/2 inch strips in my bins. I am trying so hard to get my stash under control but I don't think I am winning this race.

I am now working on baby quilt tops for great grandchildren.

Another Charity Quilt

This is the last of the retreat quilts that I have completed.

These blocks were left overs from a quilt I made a few years ago.

I used the baptist fan for the quilting.

I also used 10" squares for the backing.

This a rather small quilt but I think it will work for a crib size quilt or a lap quilt for a wheel chair.

I will be piecing along over the next couple of months but I am not sure I will be able to do any quilting.  Time will tell!

Slowly a Completion

I am happy to say I have a completion!

This is a orphan block charity quilt.

Last summer I had a quilt retreat here with two daughter in laws and one grand daughter.

This is one of those quilt. I pieced squares together for the backing.

I used the groovy board for the quilting.

I have another quilt from this retreat to post about in a few days.
I will keep Scrappin but the next couple months will be heavy with life things to do. So I will do the best that I can.
