This is a September finish. I had it in the charity tops and Melanie asked if she could have it for her friend.

Originally I was going to put it in the great grand babies bin but then decided to let her have it.

It is hard to see but the centers of the yellow blocks have leftover embroidery Dutch girls.

Melanie bought the flannel because I am totally out of flannel. I have definitely been cleaning out the last year or two.

It is a very bright and cheerful quilt.

One Completion for September!

YAY! A completion for September  The only completion for September .

This is a quilt I bought a special pattern for. It is a replacement for a quilt I had made for one of my grand daughters. The one I had originally made I was very unhappy with how it had turned out.

I really like this design. It is a Cozy Quilt pattern.

I used a pantogram for the quilting.

I used some backing fabric I have had for several years.
It is now in the bin for grand children who will graduate over the next several years.

I changed this patter a bit. It is a three color quilt instead of being scrappy. I think I might use this pattern again but use all scrap fabrics.

Last of the August Completions

This is the last August quilts I have completed.

All of these diamond 4 patches are leftovers from a quilt I made a couple of years ago. I tended to get a little carried away when I am cutting out units for a quilts.

The borders are all fabrics from my stash that I am trying to use up.  This was quilted with the Baptist fan.

The backing is a sheet I had and needed to use up.

This quilt is headed for the charity stash and will go up to the Humanitarian Center hopefully next week.

Last Charity Quilt for July

This is the last charity completed for July!

This quilt is completely a orphan block quilt.

I am slowly using up all my bits and pieces of leftovers and clearing out my stash.

The backing is 10 inch squares that I have cut up and put in my stash and they needed to go away!

I used the Baptist Fan groovy board for the quilting.

I am sewing a top together of leftover parts from a argyle quilt I made a few years ago. I will probably have it finished sometime in August. I am also working on a quilt for a granddaughter that needed to replace the one I had already made for her. I wasn't happy with the original one and it will go in the charity quilt pile.

Final Completion for June

This is a baby charity quilt. I made it from leftover parts from other quilts.
I am quite pleased with the results of this quilt.

The backing for this quilt is 10 inch squares I have had in my stash for quite some time.

I will be adding this to the other charity quilts I have in a bin that I will be taking up to the Humanitarian Center in August or September.

I have one more charity quilt top finished and it is on the HQ ready for quilting.

Second Completion for June

I completed this quilt today. It is another charity quilt.

I have been making 4 patches as leader enders for quite some time and so I decided to use up these with a bunch of 5 inch squares that I have had stashed away for awhile now. I cut the squares down to 4 1/2 inches.

It feels good to get a bunch of these fabrics out of my stash. I used the Baptist Fan for the quilting. This is another throw size quilt.

I was also able to use up some old thread. It really is great to get these out of the stash.

This one is going into the charity bin for August.

First Completion for June

I have a completion for June.

This quilt was made entirely from my stash 2 1/2 inch strip bin.

The border is some fabric I have had for years. This is a throw size quilt.

I used the Baptist fan groovy board to quilt it. This quilt is a charity quilt and I will be taking around 6-7 quilts up to the Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake in late August or early September.

Another Star Point Charity Quilt

This quilt is also from left over points to a quilt I made a few years ago.

These last two quilts have cleaned out all of the point parts that I had.

I also used the Baptist fan for the quilting on it.

All the other fabric is also from my stash.

It feels so good to clean out and use up my fabric bits and pieces.

Brown Star Charity Quilt

This is a left over star points quilt. The points were me over zealously making points for a quilt I made a few years ago.

I decided a year ago that it is time to clean all orphan blocks and parts.

All of the fabric in this quilt is from my stash.

I used the Baptist fan groovy board for the quilting.

Groot wanted to be a part of the picture taking.

Charity Quilt Completed

This pattern is from Jenny Doan but I can't remember the name of it.

I have cut up allot of my fabric into 5" squares so this quilt is totally from stash.

Some of the fabrics kinda read solid and one or two are kinda wild but for the most part the squares all have flowers in them.

It was great to finally use up the flower fabric I have on the border.  I have had this fabric for over 10 years and it is time for it to be gone.

This will be a charity quilt. I am finishing up a number these quilts and I will be taking them into the humanitarian center in August.

Mystery Quilt 2018 Completed

This is the Bonnie Hunter annual mystery quilt for 2018.

I was able to stay up with the clues each time and put the top together some time in February.

Although I am happy with the results of the quilt I don';t really like the colors of the quilt. I am not a fan of red and orange together. The quilt is very dramatic looking though.

This quilt is going to Lindsy, April & Kerry's adopted daughter. It's a long story so I won't explain it.

This quilt is the usual many small pieces that Bonnie is known for. Most of the quilt is from my stash. I purchased a few fat quarters so I could have more variety in the quilt.

April Completion-Just barely made it!

This is a completely from stash quilt. It is a king size quilt!

I have made this quilt before and in fact the old one is on my bed right now. It is a double Irish Chain from Bonnie Hunter.

I have drawers full of 2 inch squares cut up and I was trying very hard to make a big dent in these drawers. I made a dent but not a big one.

The background fabric I purchased in Loa several years ago.  The border is a batik I purchased in Panquitch a few years ago. I have also made an apron from this fabric. The lime green poka dots is recently purchased fabric but not specifically for this quilt. I used a king sized flat sheet for the backing. I used a recent pantogram that LouAnn Wilkins purchased for me for quilting her last quilt.

Groot decided he would like to be a quilt star.

He is into a close inspection of the 2 inch squares. I am very pleased with this quilt.

More quilts are lined up for the HQ right now.

March Completions

I have two completions for the month of March.

This wall hanging is my own design. I have collected handkerchiefs for years with the plans to make them into a quilt or wall hanging. I have been very slow in finally doing this. These are just a few of the handkerchiefs that I had.

But I just wanted to use the prettiest ones and then I gave the rest to Jenny. It is time for me to finish up the projects that I have had in my mind for over 30 years. I custom quilted this project.

This wall hanging I made from the book I bought to make a special quilt for Ron. I really liked doing the curved piecing.

I also custom quilted this wall hanging.

I have hung this in the spare bedroom that I have decorated.
