This quilt was actually completed in February.
I purchased these girls when I was 16 years old. They are a pattern I bought after taking Tri-chem classes with my Mom. My parents bought the Tri-chem paints for my sixteenth birthday.
I have packed the patterns around since then. I was always going to paint them but finally I felt it would be better to hand embroidery them.
So a few years ago I started on them. There were 28 original girls and I finished 14. I had had enough so I am done with the embroidery.
I would look up each flower on the internet and then match my embroidery floss as close as possible with the colors I could see online.
I used my machine embroidery to do the names of each flower.
I know the pictures are not very good but I think they show them as best as I could. I used all fabrics from my stash.
I custom quilted it and I think it turned out pretty good.
These two last ones are the ones that would not fit into the quilt.
I have made them into wall hangings and will hang them in the spare bedroom.
I am working away on some more wall hangings and then I will be quilting for a friend next.
Keep on Scrappin!
